Bustenhalter?
Via the Toronto LJ: the nicest lingerie I've seen in quite some time. (Note there are a few potentially NSFW pix in there.)

Swea-ty and out of con-trol.

Oof. It's hot in here. So of course I'm eating soup and drinking coffee. Uh. Yeah.

Speaking of coffee... )

Random plot bunny hit me today. I can't do it, it's crossover and alternate reality and my brain would go splodey trying to write it (esp. given the pile o' WIPs), but at least I'm still getting new bunnies...

Hi, there. *scritches you*

Dressing up
Oh. WOW. Barbie's Basement Jewellery. Accessories featuring images from pop culture. The same manufacturer is creating some of the retro CBC accessories (warning: the CBC's online shop is incredibly disorganized).

*covets*

Mmm, shopping.

Ooo
1. Value Village (known as Savers in most of the States; I don't know if they're doing the same promotion, but it's worth checking) is selling their Halloween stuff at 50% off. That's ALL the stuff, new and used.

2. Same store, different day: On the 13th, VV's taking 50% off everything used.

3. This is more local, but you might find something similar near you. Toronto Hydro has a deal going on this weekend (and next, if I read their site correctly) whereby you bring in your old holiday lights and get $5 off a 50-or-more-strand of new LEDs. Canadians outside Toronto might want to check with the local electrical utility, see if they're offering something similar. Home Depot and Wal-Mart are the swap locations. Can't see any indication of a coupon limit, but there's a survey to fill out, and postal codes must be provided. We'll see how it goes (we have tons of cruddy old strings of lights, mostly thanks to hand-me-downs and the fugly icicle lights strung all over the house when we bought it).

mmm
I was about to risk ruining this good day by trying to make pastry for the first time in about a dozen years, in order to make an apple tart.

AHAHA, ah... no.

10:30 at night after a long day is not the best time to relearn this sort of thing -- not unless I want to be a tear-sodden angry wreck by midnight.

*adds pastry to shopping list* Some decent phyllo, perhaps. Make strudel. We'll see.

Did the points thing at Shoppers yesterday and today. In two days, I've racked up 25,000 points. YES! And got a lot of stuff we needed, that was mostly on sale, that I would've bought anyway. Excellent.

I have stuff out from the library with twentysomething!Robin Sachs on it. Like, LOTS of stuff. Reviews forthcoming. Wish I had a way of getting this stuff onto the 'puter...

Just had a brie and bruschetta sandwich, with Orangina (if you like it as much as I do, it's on for $1.99/2L at Shoppers this week). Now for some tea, and bed.

The CBC has a webstore. I want this t-shirt. And this one. EEE! David Suzuki! *environmentally-friendly crush*

[info]velvetpage, have you seen this series? First DVD here.

The history and drama DVDs alone... Ooo. They have the DVD of Elizabeth Rex, for all you Tim Findley fans, and Colm Feore sporting a cheesy 'tache as Petruchio. :D *shoos fellow Canuckleheads* Go. You know you wanna. (And if you can't afford stuff there, check your local library.)

Mostly for [info]noondaypaisley and other T.O. cinephiles.
