This is BRILLIANT.
I love a capella. Esp. if it's of something that wasn't previously performed as such (c.f. The Flying Pickets covering the Yaz song, Only You). Thanks to the Anti-Hit List, I found this bit of genius (careful with the volume, seems they've got a lot of powerhouse sopranos in there):

Heh. I was fifteen when that show debuted, so I'm probably a bit too old to fully appreciate the kitsch value of that (and Disney was never my thing, to be honest). (I do recall post-pit-party Saturday mornings devoted to watching the Smurfs, though, so I did at least get a bit of them despite my age.) But good a capella, definitely. :)

What I really want is to hear a men's chorus do the theme from Freakazoid!

Weird. the Flying Pickets cover of Only You was my very favourite song for years. It ended up with some bittersweet meanings for me, but the song is still incredible.

Cool video! A lot of talent and a lot of energy there. It looks like singing with that group is a workout! There's a couple spots where they seem to lose the tune (and the main vocalist), but it's fun and nicely sung. I went back to sleep on the couch this morning, and this was the song that finally woke me up :)

I like their energy. I think the tune thing is partly a combination of weird sound quality and combining two versions (the original and the cover by Save Ferris), but really, for what it is, it's nifty.
